Side Effects from Botox

Right darlings, were you aware that lying down within a four hour period following Botox treatment is a definite no no! Well we wouldn't want that Botox to go walkies now would we?

Where Can I Get Botox Injections From?

You might think that you could get a Botox Injection from a number of places in Manchester and Cheshire. They seem to be advertised all over the place, in every salon and hairdressers, and every beauty therapist you come across seems to be able to offer you some kind of facial injection.

But are they legitimate? Is it really Botox in the injection? And do they really know what they are doing?

Botox is a prescription medication, and so the only people who should be legally working with Botox are doctors and Independent Nurse Prescribers. Do you think your local beauty therapist is one of those?

Botox Injections can be a highly effective solution to some of the issues you might have with your face, but it’s extremely important that they are administered correctly and with the right dosage. Complications can and do occur if you are not careful.

The European Union is planning on publishing new guidelines next year in order to crack down on those individuals and businesses who should not be offering Botox treatments, but until those new rules and regulations come into force, you need to be really careful about who you chose if you are searching for facial injection treatments.

At Julia Knightley, we specialise in non surgical cosmetic treatments, including Botox injections, and as such, we are members of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses, fully qualified and registered on the Nursing and Midwifery Council, and most importantly, an Independent Nurse Prescriber.

Oh, and we also do things a little bit different. A little bit more refined, and a little bit more... luxurious.

Laughter Lines - Not So Funny Afterwards

Sometimes jokes are just really funny. And we can’t stop ourselves. Sometimes that YouTube video just has us doubled over in stitches it’s that hilarious. But what if you’re laughing so hard at something, and then you see yourself in the mirror?

That stops some of us dead in our tracks. That laughing shows something on our face we really don’t want to see. Laughter Lines.

Everyone gets them, from your average Joe walking down the street in Manchester, to your Footballers Wives in Alderley Edge. For most people, they are tiny, thin and undefined, and they’re not a problem. But for a few of us, laughter lines can be really pronounced, and they can really affect our self confidence.

So much so, that for some people, they’re afraid to smile because they don’t like how their face looks.

That’s no way to go through life, and fortunately, Julia Knightley can help. Get in touch with us if you live in the Cheshire or Manchester areas, and find out how we can help reduce your laughter lines and improve your self esteem.
